COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The Maryland fans stormed the court. That’s the kind of win it was over the fifth-ranked University of Wisconsin men’s basketball team on Tuesday.
The Badgers overcame their biggest deficit of the season (11 at half) only to come up short on the road, 59-53.
Matt Thomas and Bronson Koenig put on a show their senior years in high school in the Coulee Region.
Koenig, for Aquinas High, and Thomas at Onalaska.
From there, Koenig went to play at Wisconsin, working his way into a prominent role. The sophomore just put up a career high 17 points Saturday.

MADISON - For the third time in six games, Bronson Koenig scored a career high.
The La Crosse, Wis., native had 17 points, going 3-for-6 from beyond the arc, in leading the University of Wisconsin men's basketball team to a 63-53 win over rival Minnesota at the Kohl Center.
The Milwaukee Bucks must have either done something really bad to Larry Sanders or been really good to him.
The 26-year-old Sanders is reportedly ready to accept a $13-15 million buyout.
