Written by

Before the season, the Milwaukee Brewers had to make a choice between keeping a combination of Juan Francisco, Mark Reynolds and Lyle Overbay.

The Brewers went defensive, keeping the veterans and releasing the 27-year-old Francisco, who ended up in Toronto.

Bucks just need to wait for Kidd

Written by

It’s all but a done deal. Jason Kidd will be the new head coach in Milwaukee.

The Bucks have offered a second-round pick for him. Brooklyn is asking for a first, like any good fantasy football owner would do, but will eventually cave, having no choice. The relationship with the Nets is all but severed. All the Bucks have to do is wait.

Carmelo not the answer, time to leave South Beach

LeBron James can’t win. Figuratively. Literally.

If he stays in Miami, he literally won’t win. Well, he’d have a harder time of it from here on out.

If he leaves, he gets ostracized. Again.

Viroqua goes for a WIAA Division 2 state baseball championship thanks to a record-setting performance this morning by left-hander Mitch Stalsberg.

The senior struck out 21 in 9 innings, two in the ninth, in leading the Blackhawks to 2-1 victory.

The Blackhawks (23-6) are playing Jefferson (27-3) at Fox Cities stadium for a state championship. The game is on FSN. Live stats are here.

The 21 strikeouts were an all divisions record. The old record was set back in 1958 by Eau Claire's Hud Gelein.

Stalsberg set the Division 2 record of 18 in the eighth inning. He finished the game with just three walks.

Oh, if the pitching performance wasn't enough, he also won the game with a RBI double in the top of the ninth.
