MADISON - La Crosse Logan High School’s football team was a game from a state championship berth.

It lost to Monona Grove 28-14 in the state semifinals on Nov. 15.

Bo on Koenig: "He's a player."

Bronson Koenig scored what will be one of many career highs for the University of Wisconsin men’s basketball team Thursday night.

The freshman from La Crosse had 10 points on 4-of-6 shooting, including 2-for-3 from beyond the arc in the 88-64 win over Bowling Green.

Grinnell's 'system,' still basketball

Black River Falls, Wis., native Jack Taylor put up the third-most points in NCAA basketball history Sunday for Grinnell College (Iowa).

Of course, he set the record a year ago with 138 points.

And while some are applauding the feat, others speak negatively about how it was accomplished.

The WFCA 2013 All-State football team

The Wisconsin Football Coaches Association has announced it's 2013 All-State football team. Congrats to two locals for making it! Greg Rooney of Holmen and Lamont Murphy of La Crosse Central. 
 
Honorable Mention goes to Hunter Hauser of Holmen, Calvin Wright of La Crosse Logan, Noah Risch of Holmen, Chuck Serayskas of Holmen, and Greg Rooney of Holmen. Rooney made the list playing two positions ... linebacker and punter. Congratulations to these fine student athletes.
