Recap: Duke win over Wisconsin in Dec.

The NCAA championship on Monday will be a rematch of Duke vs. Wisconsin.

It’s a case of polar opposites heading into the Kentucky-Wisconsin Final Four matchup.

Wisconsin heads in seemingly care free, cracking jokes at every press conference. The team that was devastated in this matchup last season, losing on a buzzer-beating 3-pointer. The team led by a pair of upperclassmen that came back for one more year of college solely for redemption.

WIAA basketball state championships recap

Onalaska High School’s boys basketball team got a taste of one of the best players in the country in the Division 2 section semifinals.

Henry Ellenson had 31 points, 19 rebounds in leading Rice Lake to a 62-48 victory. The 6-foot-10 senior led his team to the state championship Saturday, but he didn’t play.

It was a game for a half, then Bronson Koenig and the University of Wisconsin men’s basketball team said enough is enough.

The Badgers blew out Purdue in the Big Ten tournament semifinal Saturday at the United Center, 71-51.

Purdue led 35-30 at halftime.
