The ARCA Midwest Tour as well as the SCAG Midwest Truck Tour each crowned a 2013 Champion this past Saturday night in Wisconsin Dells, WI. Dan Fredrickson and Jerry Wood were honored as the series' champions. This was Jerry Wood's third championship in the Midwest Truck Tour In addition to the two champions, several others were recognized for their achievements and contributions to the ARCA Midwest Tour and Midwest Truck Tour James Swan earned the ARCAMT Rookie of the Year honors after a hard-fought battle for the title Finishing third in points, Natalie Decker was crowned Rookie of the Year in the Midwest Truck Tour Dan Fredrickson Hard Charger award This year's tech award went to Andrew Morrissey Scott Lofquist, who was unable to attend, received a very special award given by Tim Olson, President, and Steve Einhaus, Vice President. He grabbed Official of the Year David Fredrickson Spotter of the Year Award. Fredrickson also named the Crew Chief of the Year. The newly announced "Seal the Deal" Award was awarded to Nathan Haseleu. Jeff Storm the Dedication Award Joe Hunter Car Owner of the Year Larry Detjens Sportsmanship award went to James Swan. LaCrosse Fairgrounds Speedway and its 2013 competitors celebrated the season just completed last Saturday night at the 27th annual Champions’ Banquet.
The 2013 Rookies of the Year were honored, which were JR Tourtellott in Thunderstox, Jeff Thompson in Sportsmen and Branden Berg in Late Models.
Jason Bolster was the 2013 Novelty Division and Figure-8 Division champion.
The champion in each division was honored, featuring Kwik Trip NASCAR Late Model champion Steve Carlson, Exhaust Plus Sportsmen champion Jake Arneson, United Auto Supply Thunderstox Champion Adam Moore, Jake Bemis, ANTS Complete Pest Control Hornet Champion, and Volden Construction Outlawz champion Jerrod Loging. Arneson, Bemis and Loging were first time champions in 2013.
Pastor Andy Buhrow presented his annual “Racing Family of the Year” award to brothers Adam and Andy Moore, who have raced in Thunderstox for a decade.
The event drew to a close with the annual Sportsman of the Year Award. This prestigious award was presented to Mary Schill.

The Mississippi Thunder Speedway Banquet this Saturday night...Winona's Riverport Inn and Suites......Tickets can be reserved and paid for at the door. All classes will be awarded trophies for the top 5 in points and points checks for USRA and Wissota will be given to the top 10. The new schedule comes out soon.......find it on Mississippi Thunder dot com. They have also just added a Hornet/Flyer class that will run once a month in 2014, using La Crosse Speedway Hornet rules.
The La Crosse Speedway's Champions’ Banquet will be held on Saturday night, January 18th, and will return to the Stoney Creek Inn’s Northwoods Conference Center, located in Onalaska. Over 100 awards. Tickets will only be available in advance, and will be available between now and January 10th. Space is limited to the first 250 guests. After a successful first campaign on the road in 2013 the TUNDRA Super Late Model Series will again branch out in 2014. TUNDRA and Wisconsin International Raceway officials announced the series will open 2014 on Saturday, May 10th. TUNDRA Round One will serve as a preview to WIR’s Thursday Night program, which kicks off two weeks later. Joining TUNDRA will be the Mid-American Stock Car Series with the Vercauteren Memorial and another division to be named later. Complete schedule coming in next two weeks. And in NASCAR..........In a strategic move designed to expand its commitment to enhancing event experiences and fan engagement, as well as solidify the future of one of the premier racing and entertainment facilities in the Midwest, NASCAR announced that it has purchased Iowa Speedway. NASCAR has no plans for Iowa Speedway to host a NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race next year or in the immediate future. NASCAR will host a special event in Des Moines next Thursday to outline additional details on the purchase and plans for the future.
And the 2014 ARCA Midwest Tour schedule will be released December 12th.
